How's everyone going on the glorious day! This week in class we watched a very popular horror movie from the 70's called Carrie. This movie was about a girl in high school named Carrie who was not the most popular girl, lets just say she was bullied. Eventually, the bullying catches up with her and it makes her so made that she uses her telekinetic powers to get even with them. She uses these powers when she is mad to move objects around and to break things as well. In the end, she does get her revenge but it back fires on her and does not live to see the next day. When watching this movie, we took notes on the main parts of the movie such as the theme, character, and how the camera display created a mood for the movie.

How's everyone been on this lovely Tuesday? I'm really happy that the weather was warm today and that the sun was finally out for summer. The Lions took down the cheese heads of Green Bay Wisconsin 19-7 and improve there record to 2 and 1. Also, speaking of Football, the broncos tore it up against Murray State. I unfortunately did not make it to the game because I lost my I.D. and it ruined my chances of going to the game. Instead, the tailgate was the place to be for food, being with friends, and just having a good time. I really hope that everyone's week is going well and that we can all focus on the tasks at hand.

Thursday, September 18

Thursday was an interesting, but an amusing class. We learned about how narratives are developed and how different authors have different styles of writing them. One in particular that I enjoyed was The Lesson. This narrative was about a women named Miss Moore who mentors these young kids and helps them realize that nothing is easy in life. The narrator of the story takes it to heart in my opinion because the things she actually wants in life are not the things that she really needs including all the toys at toy store. One other story we discussed was Pet Milk and it was very hard to understand for me. I felt like it was all over the place throughout the story from all the flashback and I lost interest in it real quick. Overall, Thoughts and Writing was a good time!!

I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting pumped for that Football game coming up this Saturday at 7 pm against the Racers of Murray State! I better see everyone there bleeding our school colors of Brown and Gold. If not, you're better off just going to Central... hope this video gets you pumped up for this upcoming game!!!

Monday was a fantastic day to be apart of Thought and Writing in room 4209. The topics we went over were very amusing and my favorite author was Dave Sedaris. The sarcastic jokes of how he did not know the alphabet and that he was not the best looking person because of his age made the class a lot more amusing. Watching his video of  "Me Talk Pretty One Day" and hearing his voice made me find out that he seems like a comical guy. I hope in the semester of this class we will continue to have such an interactive class and our teacher, Mickey Moses will help us do that to achieve the best possible grade!!
